She welcomed her first child with boyfriend Hayden Christensen in October last year.

Though some ten months later, the notoriously private couple have finally offered a glimpse of their daughter, Briar Rose, in a sweet Instagram post Rachel shared on Sunday.

While the couple have chosen to conceal their tot's face in the snap, the image is still beyond adorable as it shows the first-time parents enjoying some quality time in the park.

Sitting on an array of picnic blankets, Hayden is seen blowing bubbles whilst his daughter holds her balance by gently resting her tiny hand on his leg.

Shielding her face from the sun, Briar Rose - a name that is a nod at classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, in which Princess Aurora is given the name Briar Rose by the fairies who shelter her - donned an enchanting floral sun hat on her head, which was teamed with a blue and white printed romper.

Hayden and Rachel are notoriously private, with the latter only creating an Instagram account late last year - though both still continue to avoid all other social media sites.

The 33-year-old actress rarely makes reference to her daughter on the picture-sharing platform, though in July she shared a photo of the cute outfit her daughter would be wearing to celebrate American Independence Day in early July.

'Happy 4th of July! Briar's inaugural outfit,' the star captioned the snap which showcased a beautiful navy and white striped swimsuit with a small star embellishment.

The former O.C. star previously opened up about her motherhood joy to Health magazine, where she also gushed about her Canadian actor beau.

'I've always wanted to be a mom,' she told the publication. 'I have always wanted kids. I can just see this little toddler waddling around the house.'

She then enthused of Hayden: 'He's so incredibly supportive and considerate. It's so basic—that should be there. Because these things are so much more important when you're older. I've been in my relationship for seven years, so we've grown up together in a way. This is my partner, my support, just there for me no matter what. And vice versa.'

The actress has made no secret of her desire to start a family with her long-term boyfriend. Last year she told Cosmopolitan, '(Turning) 30 is a whole different thing; you can slow down and focus on family. Starting a family one day is definitely something I look forward to.'

Rachel and Hayden began dating in 2007 after meeting on the set of Jumper, with the Star Wars Episode II actor proposing just a year later.
