Anyone who enjoys clever comedy will find plenty to like about the show, which takes inspiration from a range of influences to create something that feels fresh and distinctive.
The humor isn't going to be for everyone... but if you appreciate biting wit, or jokes about twee baby names or the Real Housewives franchise, then this just might be the show for you.
"Difficult" duo's comedy is snarky and hard to swallow.
A lot of the show's humor may have an edge to it, but warmth remains due to the leads' central friendship.
Klausner makes for an effective foil, grounding the series with a furtive belief in her character's comedy that's both totally oblivious and oddly innocent, as well as giving unthinking support for Billy.
Klausner and Eichner don't laugh at each others' jokes, but that's because they're fully committed to the bit. The world is their stage, and they refuse to break.
