    It might take a while to find websites you really like, but once you do: bingo. No more hoping Google sends you a recipe or a review or a release date that's actually useful. Just head to your friendly neighbourhood website and get the goods direct!!!

    This is the digital equivalent of "shop local." Instead of shouting your every need into the internet's mouth, find websites that serve those niches that interest you and build a relationship with them.

    I don't like meanness or cynicism, but I find meeting a big budget, heavily marketed, self-serious game with flippancy is a salve against yet another thing vying for attention and importance. Especially if the thing is just alright and not great.

    I'm desperate for more flippancy from games media. Games are frequently dumb, silly things, and often shallow, and that's fine, but treating it all so seriously and earnestly is exhausting.
