31 May is World #NoTobacco  Day

Illicit trade makes tobacco products more affordable and accessible to people from low-income groups and children.
Illicit tobacco products are typically sold at lower prices, thereby increasing consumption.
Eliminating or reducing illicit trade of tobacco products will reduce tobacco consumption by restricting cheap tobacco products.

#Breastfeeding  is one of the most effective ways to ensure child health. This is how employers can support breastfeeding in the workplace.

The world is on the verge of an effective ‪#‎Ebola‬ vaccine. Results from an interim analysis of the ‪#‎Guinea‬ Phase III efficacy vaccine trial show that the vaccine VSV-EBOV is highly effective against Ebola. While the vaccine up to now shows 100% efficacy in individuals, more conclusive evidence is needed and trials will continue. This is an extremely promising development. This record-breaking work marks a turning point in the history of health research and development: http://goo.gl/HTVQQq

"We are a team of 12 healthcare workers, comprising of different skills including medical doctors, nurses, a lab technician and a pharmacist. Supported by WHO, the team was quickly deployed to work in the Lake Tanganyika Stadium #cholera  treatment centre, set up here in the Kigoma region in #Tanzania  to respond to the ongoing cholera outbreak in the area. One of the key successes has been to put proper triage in place, isolate the patients and ensure adequate infection, prevention and control (IPC) measurements are adhered to."

The World Health Organization is responsible for keeping public safety from disease and keeping the public healthy. However because they have so much to handle, they have a slower response towards disease outbreaks.

To make this statement: "The World Health Organization has stated repeatedly that transportation restrictions impede the ability to respond to the outbreak with necessary personnel and supplies, and state that travel restrictions and closure of borders at points of entry are not recommended." Allowing anyone to make leisure visits to infected areas is not working. If personnel is sent, they shouldn't be able to leave till it's over. So much for science over religion if WHO thinks like that.
