Johns Hopkins 2016

New postby oldhopper on Mon May 18, 2015 7:57 pm

NOTE!

1. ANY Hopkins fan who dares to post ANYTHING on this thread regarding next year until AFTER the conclusion of this 2015 season should be banned from "The Family".

2. Hopkins haters. Here you have an unrestricted opportunity to vent your spleen. Be Careful, however. What you post here at this early time may very well come back to haunt you for the entire next season of play. And believe me, you will if appropriate be held with your feet to the fire. 8-)

One would have to wonder why any Hopkins fan would start the 16 thread prior to the 15 season ending, particularly considering the accompanying rules. Good thing there's no such thing as jinxing.....is there?
You just wanted your name attached to the thread?

Starting a 2016 thread when the most important game or two of 2015 remains on the schedule seems like tempting the Gods, the Fates, and bad joss.

And "perspicacious" is just trying too hard.

Frankly, I use this word very often - having a good vocabulary is sadly NOT all that common in this nation today. This is not good.

And, having conversations like this instead of the continual harping on the next weekend? How about some simple respite from the fray? Eventually I trust that this thread WILL become meaningful - now it for me provides comic relief to see that others actually read it!

regarding "Joss" - Uh, Hopkins has it!

For some reason the opening lyrics to Warren Zevon's "Play It All Night Long" comes to mind...

Well, oldhop, you've successfully screwed up Doug's upcoming weekend, when he was going to try to jump the gun and start this thread himself. So good work. You've applied the right amount of prophylactic measures against Doug, all in the name of anti-Testudo ballistic defense.

This thread isn't bad ju ju or a jinx. It is a poke in Doug's eye.

Well played, oldhop/6569. Now back to our 2015 programming.

I hope that was a rhetorical question as paging up to determine the answer is not very hard (even for an attorney).

I agree with WOMBAT's observation that oldhopper's proactive move definitively pre-empted doug7779 from stealing a march on the Hopkins fans as he did last year.

I think Charlie Raffa and Kyle Bernlohr had a lot more to do with Maryland winning than oldhopper's ploy. doug is probably still P.O.ed that he was undercut. Look for him to start the Hopkins 2017 thread in late March 2016.

I'm hoping for a game as exciting on Monday as the two semifinals were. Very conflicted over which team I wish to see win the title.

The score remains the same: I only update it after the regular season game.

Be giddy and obnoxious today, Doug. Don't choke tomorrow.

Most of the Hopkins fan base seems to be pulling for the Terps. Don't choke.

I will be sitting in a chair 100 miles away so I doubt my choking will have any effect on the game...and you calling me giddy and obnoxious is classic pot meet kettle kinda stuff...win or lose the Terps outlived Hoppy once again
