Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will play the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre as part of their UK arena tour.

Gallagher and his band have added an additional seven dates to their tour after the initial seven completely sold out almost instantly.

The band will be at the AECC for the second date of their tour on Tuesday, February 14.

Their album debuted at number one last month – one of only four albums this year with sales in excess of 100,000 in its first week and has now been certified platinum.

AECC's managing director Brian Horsburgh said: "We are excited to welcome Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds to AECC in February 2012, adding to an increasing busy calendar of events for 2012, which kicks off with Granite Rocks, our Hogmanay gig featuring White Lies, The View and Twin Atlantic."

The show is suitable for all ages, under-14s must be seated and accompanied by an adult.
