The DFID Syria Crisis Response team coordinates the UK's humanitarian response in Syria.

The appalling violence in Syria has left millions of people in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.

The UK is a leading donor in the humanitarian response. To date we have committed £1 billion in humanitarian funding.

This is providing support, such as food, shelter, medical care and clean drinking water, for hundreds of thousands of people affected by the conflict, both inside Syria and for refugees. See the latest updates on how the UK’s humanitarian aid is helping.

For detailed information on our programme and what the UK spends on development in Syria, see the DFID Syria operational plan 2014. See also our Development Tracker to explore international development projects funded by the UK government by country and sector.

DFID does not have an office based in Syria. If you wish to contact us about any of the work we are doing in Syria, please contact our London office.
