American actress Barbara Colby was featured in movies like California Split and Gold Dust Twins. Reportedly, she was shot inside a parking area. However, on a tragic note, the killers were never identified and the case remained unsolved.

Seventeen-year-old American Deanna Cremin was murdered behind a housing complex four days after her seventeenth birthday. Police identified three men as suspects, but no charges were pressed on them. Deanna's case is still unsolved without any proof.

Swedish Social Democratic politician Olof Palme was allegedly assassinated while returning from a movie theatre with his wife Lisbet Palme. He was taken to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. The murder remains unsolved, despite several proposed theories.

Rashawn Brazell was murdered, and his dismembered body parts were found in Brooklyn. Reportedly, he was supposed to meet his accountant, but went missing. America's Most Wanted profiled the case five times on television. However, the efforts remain futile as nothing substantial came out of it.

American zoologist-anthropologist Dian Fossey was allegedly murdered in her bedroom. As per the sources, robbery did not seem to be the motive behind the crime. However, Dian's murder remains in the list of unsolved murder mysteries.

Gold mine owner and entrepreneur Harry Oakes was murdered in his house in Bahamas. Reportedly, he was set on fire in a brutal way. However, his son-in-law was arrested, but was acquitted later at trial. Nobody could unravel the mystery behind his murder.

As told by Zodiac Killings, "I like killing people...it is so much fun," began one of the many encrypted letters sent to San Francisco newspapers. For 10 months from December, 1968, he killed several victims—including a couple who were shot in a car, a man and a woman stabbed near a lake, and a cab driver shot in the head. He was never caught.

On Sept 7, 1996, Tupac Shakur – an urban poet and rapper was shot in his car while he was driving out of a Mike Tyson boxing match in Las Vegas. Months later, waiting at an LA spotlight, Shakur's rival Notorious B.I.G met with the same fate. Neither of these cases have been solved.

A priest and archbishop in El Salvador during the 1960s and 1970s, Óscar Romero was shot at a small chapel post his speech against the US military's support and the government of the country. The killers suspected to be members of Salvadoran death squads, who were never found.

German-American senior at Yale University, Suzanne Jovin was allegedly stabbed in 1998. Many items and observations have been reported by the police and media regarding Suzanne's case, but the efforts have gone in vain. Moreover, the mystery behind the case is not yet solved by the police.
