The Office of Sponsored Programs is VCU School of Engineering’s central office for the administrative and financial management of all sponsored program proposals and awards. This office reports directly to the dean.

Our mission

The mission of the School of Engineering Office of Sponsored Programs is to provide the necessary services to the faculty in their quest to successfully obtain externally funded sponsored research awards and provide sound fiscal and administrative management of the awards.

Our office will help you navigate the proposal preparation and submission process and work with you to ensure sponsored awards received are managed in accordance with VCU, state and sponsor rules and regulations. The office provides assistance with post-award processes required for sponsored program awards to meet sponsor requirements.

All faculty are encouraged to schedule appointments with the director, Billie Martin-Lowry, to discuss the overall VCU proposal process, discuss individual proposal submissions (since the requirements can vary greatly from sponsor to sponsor), obtain guidance and assistance during the life of a sponsored program award or to ask any other questions related to sponsored program administration.
