Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara

In Santa Barbara, we have one facility that houses our existing MFA in Photography and existing BFA in Professional Photography programs. All new student in Professional Photography and the MFA will start and finish their education at the Ventura, CA campus:

The Cota Street Campus occupies three floors in a learning center and consists of classrooms, digital labs, faculty and staff offices, equipment storage, library, a large public gallery (Gallery 27), and our IT office.

Brooks Institute is pleased to announce it will be consolidating and moving operations from its Santa Barbara campus to its existing location in Ventura, a former motion picture studio on eight acres. Having all our programs on one campus will allow for cross-disciplinary learning through shared course work between film, photography, visual journalism and graphic design. Brooks will do a phased-in move over the next 1 1/2 years. Maintaining Brooks Institute’s reputation for high-qualify, industry-relevant education was paramount in making this decision. The BFA in Professional Photography will start their education on the Ventura campus in the fall of 2013 and the MFA in Photography will follow suit in the fall of 2014.
