Fans will have to wait a couple more weeks to boldly go see the new Star Trek installment.

Paramount announced Thursday that the third installment in the reboot franchise, Star Trek Beyond, will be released July 22, 2016. It was originally slotted for an Independence Day release.

The 2013 sequel, Star Trek: Into Darkness, reeled in nearly $470 million total. Though director J.J. Abrams is off to lead the Star Wars revival, Fast and Furious veteran Justin Lin serves as a suitable replacement.
