• Extended through October 18
    12 performances added!

    Houston housewife Louise Seger first
heard Patsy Cline in 1957 on the Arthur
Godfrey show and became an instant fan.
The two met before a 1961 concert,
struck it off immediately, and spent all
    night chatting in Louise's kitchen.
After that night, they kept up an active
pen-pal relationship. On the night of
    Patsy's death in a 1963 plane crash,
Louise reminisces and Patsy drifts in and
out singing 27 of the songs that made
her so beloved. Sweet Dreams, indeed.

  • A Christmas Memory
    Opens Nov. 27th

Congratulations to both Cori Cable Kidder and John Prosky! Smp's first two nominations EVER!

Congratulations as well, to all of the designers and actors who are SMP alums who were nominated for work they did at other theaters this season.

Always Patsy Cline

Cori Cable Kidder
Cori Cable Kidder (Patsy) is thrilled to be performing at SMP! An Arkansas native, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Ouachita Baptist University. Before moving to Los Angeles, Cori traveled with the international 1940's musical sensation In the Mood and spent a year singing at Tokyo's Disney Resort in Japan. Her LA credits include Usherette in The Producers (Palos Verdes Performing Arts) and Penny in Swing Dames - an Andrews Sisters group. Cori is represented by Origin Talent and Dave Secor of The Daniel Hoff Agency. "I wouldn't be here without my wonderful and supportive family. Thank you to Mike Skiles of Texas Family Musicals for introducing me to Patsy all those years ago. Robert: thank you for giving me this opportunity." www.coricablekidder.com

We so proud of the recognition both Cori Cable Kidder and John Prosky have gotten - our first two nominations EVER.  John for the lovely work he did in A Walk in the Woods earlier this year and Cori for the beautiful work she is still doing in Always...Patsy Cline.  It's unfortunate that audiences won't be able to see John's work but they can still see Cori's through October 30 at the Playhouse.  Congratulations too, to all of the designers and actors who are SMP alums who were nominated for work they did at other theaters this season.  We are so proud that you have brought your talents to our stage and look forward to the next project we do together."

On television he has re-occurring roles on such shows as True Blood, The Closer, Touch, The Event, Medium, The Practice, and guest starred on such shows as Fringe, Criminal Minds, Revenge, Mentalist, and Major Crimes (full list on IMDB.com).
