Visiting Cards

Visiting cards played an important role in the social world when ‘calling’ was part of everyday life and there was a strict etiquette surrounding their use.

Social cards are a modern interpretation of traditional visiting cards. Similar to business cards, these are generally printed on thick card of around 350 gsm, and measure W3½ x H2½ inches (8.9 x 6.4 cm) – the same dimensions as a traditional lady’s visiting card. They are used in a social environment as a quick and convenient way of exchanging contact details.

Social cards should feature the individual's name, mobile telephone number and, if desired,  email address. The name is usually positioned centrally. The inclusion of a residential address is optional but rare.
