Dr Kevan Collins

Chief Executive, Educational Endowment Foundation

As chief executive of the Educational Endowment Foundation, Dr Kevan Collins is responsible for striving to break down the regrettable correlation between family income and educational achievement, and thus allowing children of all backgrounds to attain a decent education. Dr Collins has had more than 25 years working in the public service and education, having worked for many years as a primary school teacher, leading the Primary Literacy Strategy as national director and later serving as director of children’s services at Tower Hamlets. Dr Collins has also worked internationally and gained his doctorate in literacy development from the University of Leeds. He became the first EEF chief executive in 2011.
