Jamie Oliver, MBE

Chef and Food Campaigner

Jamie Oliver first broke onto our screens as the fresh-faced Naked Chef of the ’90s. Famous for his food-focused television programmes such as Jamie’s Kitchen and Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals, Oliver has reformed the culinary standards of schools, cut our food costs and revolutionised our eating habits whilst founding his own successful chain of restaurants and spending 11 years as the face of Sainsbury’s. As a campaigner against the use of processed and unhealthy foods in national schools and for cutting junk food out of children’s diets, Oliver has played a hugely influential role in forming government policy. He continues to campaign for various causes such as taxing sugary foods and fighting against multinational soft drink corporations.
