My boyfriend and I ate here for breakfast and the menu was limited but delicious. Seating inside is small but outside is great. Service was a little slow, but I would definitely eat here again.

What a great way to start a Sunday sitting in the cool morning air and enjoying mile-high biscuits. This is one of the best breakfast places in San Antonio. Very genteel. The basic platter has two huge biscuits with wonderful gravy, a significant helping of fresh fruit, and great bacon. Would definitely come back when in San Antonio.
Be prepared for a long long wait but it is definitely worth it . Wile you wait you can enjoy a nice complementary coffee next to the river . Everything we had was amazing the food came out very fast . The staff was very nice and the price reasonable . You can't go without trying the Cinnamon roll with... More
My Sister & I were visiting some of our elementary teachers (back from the 50's & 60's). We wanted to take them somewhere nice, and a place they had never been. It was an easy choice to pick The Guenther House. Because we had one person in a wheelchair, we sat in the lovely Outdoor Pergola that was kept nice... More
Our go to place when we have out of town guests - perfect for breakfast, lunch, brunch ... Seating available inside or out - wonderful waffles!!!
We had the waffle (and I'm a pancake lover, but yummy yummy waffle) and the burrito and LOVE them both. The waffle was light and fluffy, the burrito was perfectly seasoned. Even though it was August we sat outside and found it perfect. The house coffee is very tasty. We would recommend and we will return!
Every time we visited San Antonio, we must visit Guenther house for break fast. During the warm season, I highly recommend you eat outside. I always ordered Waffle with strawberry. Since Pioneer Flour factory opened this restaurant, you should order waffle or pancakes. They were delicious ! The place is always busy, so be prepared for waiting time between 30-1... More
Set in a historical house in the King William neighborhood. This restaurant is a beautiful place. The food is quite good and plentiful. The bread products are made with flour milled right there at the Pioneer Flour Mill, which shares the grounds. Museum setting upstairs showing furnishings, china and art. There is a very nice gift shop with lots of... More
I had a vegetarian portabella sandwhich while at the Guenther House. It was good. The wait was a bit lengthy and the staff seemed somewhat confused on how to direct customers but overall the experience was pleasant.
They don't take reservations so get there early. Even then, you should be prepared to wait. I was lucky enough to sit outside, where we could enjoy some of the view of the river walk and the lawn. It was lovely and the food was great. I had the waffle and ate every last bite. I would easily go back... More
