Match Officials Selection Process

Referees for European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup games are selected by the EPCR Match Officials Committee from the EPCR Elite Referees Panel.

The Committee, which is made up of the EPCR Match Officials Performance Manager and the Referee Managers of the six unions, make the selections having reviewed performances across all relevant tournaments in conjunction with feedback from the referee managers in each Union and from club coaching staff.
