Apple iPhone 6s queue in Taiwan

Apple iPhone 6s queue in Taiwan

Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and many more countries are seeing the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus launch get released in the Apple Stores of their respective location today.

It's Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan that are all getting the goods today, with a few others to follow either tomorrow (Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates), or on October 16th (India, Malaysia and Turkey), and, ultimately, to 130+ countries by year's end.

The second wave of availability rollouts brings with it some interesting price comparisons to be had. The stark difference in pricing is largely due to sales and import taxes, as well as exchange rate considerations, rather than price gouging by Apple, but it's still pretty dramatic to witness. Unfortunately, the new iPhones are still not for sale in Brasil, which is notorious for the most expensive Apple gear, but that omission will soon be remedied, too, and, from the looks of it, India and Russia won't be far behind in abominable pricing, when converted to USD. In fact, it's India, Russia and Norway taking the top three places from the ones we converted, with a $900+ starting price for a 16 GB iPhone 6s.

That's it, I don't like Apple. The ones, especially, that keeps the doctor close instead of keeping them at bay.
This is just an example of daylight robbery!

India is a poor country, thats why its price higher to compensate low sales for better profit for each phone sold.

I think flying to the US from India, to get the 128GB version and then flying back would be cheaper. :D

They are trying their best...Just because Note 5 is experiencing overheating issues and other issue doesn't make it a bad phone. ;)

I realize what you said was sarcasm, but my Note5 on Verizon has had zero issues. The lag and random defects from my Note 4 still haunt me, but the Note5 has exceeded my expectations and given me zero headaches. Not to mention, they have definitely improved the build quality. It is a beautiful phone.

Don't worry mate, apple fanboys are gonna buy it anyways. I've seen people who don't even know that they can add up to 5 finger prints in their iPhone and using only single thumb but still arguing that touch id is superior than any other fingerprint sensor. Their level of tech knowledge will still make them feel their iPhone to be better even if they will be confused as hell with 3D touch.

Guys, does anyone know if there are enough supplies of 6s plus to buy it without preordering (By this i mean just to go to the apple store and get one). My friend is in USA and he should buy it for me, but he doesnt have enough time for preordering it, as he is going back to our country for 5 days?
Thanks in advance :D

Kind of an unspecific argument, that. Do you mean customer support, device support, or what? 'Cause you damn near gotta make a bloody appointment for a customer service call with an apple device.

Then how come similarly priced phones never reach those high selling prices?

For your Info Note 5 is $800 for 32GB & $880 for a 64GB one. This price is from Samsung Estore.
If you buy from other local retailers its even less.

And also Samsung is providing wireless charger free of cost worth $49
Now you tell me my friend is Samsung is not facing any sales & import taxes? Is it free for Samsung?..
Such lame excuse :(

You have to consider more than just looking at retail. Samsung pays import taxes too. Here is the difference.

I first am it defending Apple, just giving you facts.

Import taxes of US products are based on the value of the US Dollar vs the local curreny. Any many countries the US Dollar is much weaker vs places like Europe and Canada.

When Samsung imports products, it's the value of the Korean Won vs the local currency. The Korean Won isn't as weak as the Dollar in many countries.

Also, it is possible Samsung pays the tax in behalf of its customers, instead of passing the costs to customers.

Also, Samsung has a stronger reach and likely has very good deal with other governments like Apple has in the US.

Considering that Samsung makes products in almost every country including the USA, they likely end joybtax breaks, just like Apple does when hiding their money offshore.

Consider that Samsung has factories that employee people on every habitat continent. Samsung LTD has a lot of power as they are nearly 25% GDP for their own country, which carries a lot of weight. Something Apple fans can't brag about.

See it isn't always what you know of, it's who you know. After all, Apple lost its patent case in every country but the US. Think that was blind coincedence? The ITC found Apple guilty of infringing on Samsung patents, and the President ignorant ass stepped in and vetoed. He put his foot into our legal due process, and for that he was wrong. I don't care if he is as black as me. Wrong is wrong!

Only a complete r*tard would spend 1k for an effin' phone, and I mean any phone, not only iphones. It's still just a phone. Most people buying iphones in countries like russia or india do it only to show off, to make themselves feel privilaged.

Charging the equivalent of $950 for a phone with 2 GB of RAM, 750p LCD display, 16GBs of storage, and a 1715 mAh battery is freaking ludicrous. Hell, charging $650 for that is still grossly over priced.
