A few famous faces have been spotted in Bath this week.

Former boyband star Ronan Keating was seen around the Guildhall on Tuesday as filming started on Another Mother's Son.

The Second World War drama is also set to star Amanda Abbington, John Hannah, Susan Hampshire and Jenny Seagrove.

Film crews and cast members were spotted around the Guildhall, which was transformed into war-time Jersey.

Some of the stars tweeted earlier in the week about the start of filming.

Ronan Keating said: "Amazing first day on set of #AMS."

Jenny Seagrove tweeted: "Start filming tomorrow - 'another mothers son'. True story. Ronan Keating, Amanda Abbington, John Hannah, Susan Hampshire. Excited."

Filming continued on Wednesday, Armistice Day, with cast members seen on Parade Gardens. A number were dressed as Nazi soldiers.

A spokesman for the Bath film office said: "Bill Kenwright presents Another Mother's Son, the true story of Louisa Gould. Set during World War 2 on the Nazi-occupied island of Jersey, Lou took in an escaped Russian POW and hid him over the war's course.

"The tension mounts as it becomes clear that Churchill will not risk an assault to re-capture the British soil, and the island-community spirit begins to fray under pressures of hunger, occupation and divided loyalty.

"Against this backdrop, Lou fights to preserve her family's sense of humanity and to protect the Russian boy as if he was her own."

MG1942- it's disgraceful and naïve to make such a presumption. The production company have paid for each parking space, plus won't were only there for a couple of days. Bath have benefited by £thousands during this period.

By what right did the film crew "commandeer" the public car park opposite Pratts Hotel and next to Police Station on Monday evening, with no time given for how long the suspension was to last?! Disgraceful!!
