Go as early as you can or plan to wait 30-45 minutes. The food is excellent and the service is pretty good for the most part. I always get the impression that the servers try to act snotty for some reason. They have some fantastic breakfast and lunch choices on the menu, but since this is part of the Pioneer... More

We had breakfast at the Guenther House for our last day in SA. The breakfast line had a 30 minute wait. We toured the home and gift shop during that time. Breakfast was lovely out on the covered patio. Our hostess Donna and waiter, Jason were both excellent, friendly and efficient. A very nice end to a great stay in... More

The hop-on/hop-off tour claimed this was the best breakfast in town so we tried it. They were busy but they gave us a beeper so we browsed around while we waited. We ordered the special Pioneer platter which includes the fluffiest biscuit I have ever had, as well as a slightly peppery, very tasty sausage gravy and eggs and more.... More

The Guenther House was built and occupied in the mid-19th century by the founding family of the Pioneer flour enterprise. Although on the Riverwalk, this is away from the hectic crowded areas. We love to go here for breakfast. Needless to say, baking (and pancakes) is their forte. Then, walk across the parking lot and across the street to the... More

We made a quick stop to see the home and restaurant. Good not skip the gift shop, cute stuff. Worth a visit if checking out the Historical District.

First thing to do is to put your name on the list! After they give you your beeper, walk around the grounds and visit the museum part and the gift store. You probably will want to take some batter home! You can also sample some free cake as you wait for you breakfast. I had the pancakes and scrambled eggs.... More

Even though they don't take reservations, it is certainly worth the wait to eat here, as well as tour the house and grounds.

The best way to spend a morning either for breakfast or lunch. The surroundings are enjoyable, the food is delicious, and the service was great. We will definitely be back again for a relaxing morning dining outside or inside!

We had lunch here and the food was amazing. After lunch we browsed the gift shop and they sell some packages of their signature breads and all kinds of great kitchen gadgets! A must!!
