Saturday Night Fever is a 1977 drama featuring disco music by the Bee Gees on the best selling soundtrack of all time. Tony Manero (John Travolta) is a teenager from Brooklyn who works in a mind numbing job in a hardware store. On the weekends, however, Tony is the king of the discotheque. Tony is preparing for the upcoming disco dance contest with his usual dance partner, Annette (Donna Pescow). However, Tony meets Stephanie Mangano (Karen Lynn Gorney) and begs her to be his dance partner. Stephanie works in Manhattan and has numerous run-ins with celebrities which makes Tony uncomfortable and gives him the desire to strive for more than a life in Brooklyn. Tony's life gets more complicated after he and his friends have some altercations with a Puerto Rican gang. After things continue to get worse for Tony he is forced to chose between his roots and Brooklyn and moving on to a new life.
