Fresh and tasty food

Popular and unpretentious restaurant, busy even mid-week and apparently more so at weekends when there is live music. On our weekday evening, we had good Margaritas, fresh and tasty food, well spiced and fresh, and a very efficient and knowledgeable waiter.

Just so happened had this name pop up on trip advisor when trying to figure out what to eat for dinner and we decided to give it a go. It was hopping on a Saturday night, we waited 30 min. for a table. We enjoyed a handshaken margaritas and a pica pica (cucumber and jalepeno) while we waited, so no... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in a cute neighborhood (King William Historic District) south of downtown. Service was friendly and abundant. I always order a chile relleno when eating a New Mexican restaurant and theirs top my list. The chunky guacamole was simply prepared with now extra flair, just real tasty avocado! Delicious!

Visitors to San Antonio head down to the river, which is understandable. However, venturing a bit south of downtown will bring them to the rewards of Rosario's. The menu offers extensive permutations on the Tex-Mex theme, and the food itself lives up to the descriptions. Atmosphere is casual but not crass. This is not an assembly line fast food establishment.... More

My friend were in search of non-American Mexican food. Mission accomplished. Great dinner! The tacos were fantastic!

Not a fancy place but has the best salsa and chips and quick service. The restaurant can be noisy though.

I visited Rosario's for the first time with a friend. We had gone to a matinee performance at the Majestic Theater on Sunday. Rosario's is just a few blocks south of there on St. Mary's street and Alamo. Dinner and drinks were delicious. It has the typical Tex Mex dishes and libations. I had the fish tacos and they are... How this restaurant was rated "The Best" beats me! Service was very UNfriendly, took way too long, margaritas were awful(!), food NOT great; chips and salsa were good! Would rate only a 2 to 3 star! At best...

Tasty food. Salsa is plentiful and tasty. Food okay. Not extraordinary, though. Service was very spotty and rather slow.

We took visiting family and my elderly mother. The staff was very solicitous and seated us quickly in a quieter corner location. Beer, margaritas of several types and iced tea were served along with chips and Rosario's special salsa. From the chicken quesadilla for mom, the beef fajita (no beans, extra peppers & onions) for me, enchilada plate, tacos...all the... More
