Prof. Hisao Ishibuchi, Osaka Prefecture University, Japan

Prof. Hisao Ishibuchi received the BS and MS degrees from Kyoto University in 1985 and 1987, respectively. He received the Ph. D. degree from Osaka Prefecture University in 1992. Since 1987, he has been with Osaka Prefecture University as a research associate (1987-1993), an assistant professor (1993), an associate professor (1994-1999) and a full professor since 1999. His research interests include evolutionary multiobjective optimization, fuzzy genetics-based machine learning, and evolutionary games. He received a Best Paper Award from GECCO 2004, HIS-NCEI 2006, FUZZ-IEEE 2009, WAC 2010, SCIS & ISIS 2010, FUZZ-IEEE 2011 and ACIIDS 2015. He also received a 2007 JSPS Prize. He was the IEEE CIS Fuzzy Systems TC Chair (2008-2009), the IEEE CIS Vice-President for Technical Activities (2010-2013), the General Chair of ICMLA 2011, the Program Chair of CEC 2010 and IES 2014, and a Program/Technical Co-Chair of Fuzzy IEEE 2006, 2011-2013, 2015 and CEC 2013-2014. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE CI Magazine (2014-2015), an Associate Editor of IEEE TEVC (2007-2015), IEEE Access (2013-2015) and IEEE TCyb (2013-2015), an IEEE CIS AdCom member (2014-2016), and an IEEE CIS Distinguished Lecturer (2015-2017). He is an IEEE Fellow. According to Google Scholar, the total number of citations of his publications is more than 16,000 and his h-index is 56 (May 1, 2015).

Prof. Kazumi Nakamatsu, University of Hyogo, Japan

Professor Kazumi Nakamatsu received the M. Engg., and D. Sci. from Shizuoka University and Kyushu University, Japan, respectively. He is a Professor at School of Human Science and Environment, University of Hyogo, Japan. His research interests encompass various kinds of logic and their applications to Computer Science, especially paraconsistent annotated logic programs and their applications. He has developed some paraconsistent annotated logic programs called ALPSN(Annotated Logic Program with Strong Negation), VALPSN(Vector ALPSN), EVALPSN(Extended VALPSN) and bf-EVALPSN (before-after EVALPSN), and applied them to various intelligent systems such as safety verification based control systems. Kazumi Nakamatsu has organized some international conferences and been a member of numerous international program committees of workshops and conferences in the area of Artificial Intelligence. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems and an editorial board member of other international journals. He has contributed numerous invited lectures at international workshops and conferences. He also is a recipient of some conference and paper awards.

Prof. Pawan Lingras, Saint Mary's University, Canada

Pawan Lingras is a graduate of IIT Bombay with graduate studies from University of Regina. He is currently a professor at Saint Mary's University, Halifax. He is also expected to facilitate launching of a professional graduate program in Computing and Data Analytics as the Founding Director. He is also an active participant in Indian academia having served as a visiting professor at IIT Gandhinagar, and as a UGC sponsored Scholar-in-Residence at SRTM University, Nanded, and has delivered more than 35 invited talks at various Indian institutions. He has authored more than 200 research papers in various international journals and conferences. He has also co-authored three textbooks, and co-edited two books and eight volumes of research papers. His academic collaborations/co-authors include academics from Canada, Chile, China, Germany, India, Poland, Tunisia, U.K. and USA. His areas of interests include artificial intelligence, information retrieval, data mining, web intelligence, and intelligent transportation systems. He has served as the general co-chair, program co-chair, review committee chair, program committee member, and reviewer for various international conferences on artificial intelligence and data mining. He is also on editorial boards of a number of international journals. His research has been supported by Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada for twenty-five years, as well as other fundings agencies including IRAP and MITACS.

Prof. Elizabeth Behrman, Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, USA

Prof. Behrman received the ScB degree from Brown University and MS and PhD degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently full professor of physics and mathematics at Wichita State University. In addition to physics she also has degrees in chemistry and in mathematics, and her first professorship was in ceramic engineering. She has published in a wide variety of fields, including quantum Monte Carlo, chemical reaction pathways, glass structure, and high Tc superconductors, and was the first to predict the stability of inorganic buckyballs. She has been at Wichita State since 1990. Her current research is mostly in quantum information and quantum artificial intelligence, where she is best known for her pioneering use of algorithm design using neural network techniques.

Prof. Wei-Chang Yeh, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan

Prof. Wei-Chang Yeh received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlingtonin 1990 and 1992. He is the Distinguished professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at the National Tsing Hua University(NTHU).His research interests include network reliability theoryand soft computing. He has authored more than 200 research papers in various international journals and conferences. He has also received more than 28 patents andserved as the Special Session Chair, Session Chair, Keynote Speaker, Plenary Speaker, Organizer, Program Chair, International Program Committee, International Technical Committee, Associate Editor, and so on for various international conferences. Dr. Yehis a senior member of the IEEE, a senior member of IACSIT, and a member of INFORMS. He has received awards for his research achievement from Ministry of Science and Technology in Taiwan. He is the Chair of IEEE CIS Task Force on "Intelligent Adaptive Fault Tolerant Control, Reliability, and Optimization" and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of "The Open Cybernetics & Systemics Journal" and "Soft Computing with Applications (SCA)".

Prof Abhaya Induruwa, Canterbury Christ Church University, UK

Professor Abhaya Induruwa became the first ever student to graduate with a First Class Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Sri Lanka, Katubedda Campus, winning the Professor O P Kulshreshtha award for the Best Electrical and Electronic Engineering Graduate in 1975. After reading for his PhD at Imperial College London, with Emeritus Professor B J Cory as his research supervisor, he returned to Sri Lanka in 1980.
A Founding Member and an Honorary Fellow of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka, Professor Induruwa is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK; a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka; and a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society. He became a Founding Member of the Internet Society in 1992. He isalso a Member of the Internet Society, Sri Lanka Chapter.
In 1983 he served on the National Committee appointed to formulate the Computer Policy for Sri Lanka. In 1984 he was appointed by H E the President of Sri Lanka to the inaugural board of the Computer and Information Technology Council (CINTEC).He served on the CINTEC Board until 1998, and under his Chairmanshipof the respective CINTEC Working Committees developed policy and implementation frameworks for Computer Education, Standardisation, and Data Communication & Computer Networking in Sri Lanka. He served the public sector organisations in various ICT advisory and consultancy roles. In 1992 he served on the Cabinet appointed committee that formulated the Data Communication and Computer Networking strategy for Sri Lanka. He served on the Council of the National Science Foundationfrom 1992-1996.From 1987-1996 Professor Induruwa served on the Council of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka and held the portfolio of the Student Counsellor.
He pioneered the teaching of Computer Science & Engineering and established the first ever and the only Department of Computer Science & Engineering in Sri Lanka at the University of Moratuwa in 1985, and served as its Head until 1998. He is the inaugural Professor V K Samaranayake Endowed Professor of Computing at the University of Colombo School of Computing, in addition to being the Director for PhD Research in the School of Law, Criminal Justice and Computing at Canterbury Christ Church University.He serves on editorial and review/evaluation panels of a number of International Journals and Conferences. He has published widely and his current research focuses on smart device forensics and evaluation of security of Internet of Things.
In 1989 he pioneered Academic and Research Networking and deployment of Internet in Sri Lanka and led the development of LEARN-Lanka Experimental Academic and Research Network-which today provides Internet connectivity to all Universities, Research Centres, and other Education and Higher Education Institutions in the country.
In recognition of his services to the ICT industry and to the advancement of computer education and professionalism in Sri Lanka the Computer Society of Sri Lanka awarded him the Honorary Fellowship in 2003. In recognition of his life time achievement in pioneering Internet deployment in Sri Lanka the Internet Society honoured Professor Induruwa by inducting him to the Internet Hall of Fame 2014. During the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Internet in Sri Lanka held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in June 2015, Professor Induruwa was honoured by the Internet Society-Sri Lanka Chapter with an Internet Pioneers Award.
