Dow Jones Risk and Compliance is composed of three main elements:

RiskCenter

To provide the highest-quality information on third parties, Dow Jones offers in-depth screening of companies, individuals, government sanctions, entities, and more, delivered with customized frequency, added red flags and alerts, in batches or as single reports.

Dow Jones’ extensive database and the Factiva platform cast a wider net and allow custom-defined searches for negative news. Mentions can be reviewed on a dedicated news page, with relevant licensed articles added into the audit trail.

Batch Screening

A dedicated solution to upload multiple third-party relationships for regular screening against Dow Jones’ Watchlist, State Owned Companies and Adverse Media Entities. Users can receive daily alerts and keep an audit trail of all decisions.

RiskFeeds

Accurate and relevant risk data on people and organizations for anti-money laundering, anti-corruption and sanctions legislation, plus fully updated sanctions targets, reported and delivered by expert researchers who know what matters to each client. Dow Jones’ RiskFeeds goes deep in four categories to deliver solutions straight to a member’s platform via APIs and feeds.

Watchlist

Dow Jones’ Watchlist identifies high risk third parties to assist in complying with global regulations. This includes lists and data on regulatory sanctions, Politically-Exposed-Persons (PEPs), Special Interest Persons (SIPs) who have been involved in a legal process in relation to defined criminal categories, relatives & close associates, exclusion, export control, travel restriction and other official lists.

Adverse Media Entities

Customers can protect their reputation and mitigate supply chain risk with adverse media coverage for companies through Adverse Media Entities profiles built through Factiva news articles. This includes 16 different types of undesirable corporate behavior in four categories: regulatory, competitive/financial, environment/production and social/labor.

State Owned Companies

Dow Jones can provide profiles on all aggregate government ownership of 1% or more, 10% ownership by sovereign wealth funds, governmental control of voting and boards of directors, corporate identifiers and names in the native language script, and firms’ ultimate beneficial owners (UBO) and management.

Sanction Alert
