Simon Cowell has been talking about the future of The X Factor.
The live final of The X Factor 2015 is only week away, but Simon is already looking ahead to 2016.
Speaking to The Daily Star, he admitted he knows when he might pull the plug on the ITV show.
Cowell said: ‘If terrible contestants turn up over the next two years and they are rubbish, that’s the time to call it a day.’
But of course, the showbiz mogul isn’t ready to throw in the towel so easily.
‘We can still make it better’ he added.
I’m not going to say everything is perfect but we have some ideas already which will make it popular for next year.’
Could the judging panel be getting a new look? Will hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack stay? Might he even…GET RID OF DEADLOCK? (Unlikely).
The 56-year-old also defended the show from claims that it is ‘fixed’.
Last month viewers claimed they saw Simon ordering the judges to save Che Chesterman over his own act Anton Stephans, but Simon totally rubbished the rumours.
He said: ‘I never said that. Fact. I don’t know where it even came from. It made me laugh because it suggested I was trying to get them to put another act through and not save my own.
‘We don’t do that. We don’t know who will be bottom. And I don’t influence – it’s their decision.’
The X Factor semi-finals continue tonight with Chesterman, Reggie N Bollie, Lauren Murray and Louisa Johnson fighting for a place in the final.
