Emmy winner Horowitz to helm telecast
Louis J. Horvitz will return as director of the 80th Academy Awards telecast. This will be his 12th time directing the show.
Horvitz has won four Emmys for his previous work with the Oscars and recently completed his 16th stint directing both “The Kennedy Center Honors” and “The American Film Institute Life Achievement Award.” Nominations will be announced Jan. 22.
