BTS Wraps Up Concert Tour in Japan Gathering 25,000 Fans

BTS successfully wrapped up its concert tour in four Japanese cities.

Starting with Tokyo on February 10 and 11, BTS launched the Wake Up: Open Your Eyes concerts in Osaka on February 13 and 14, Nagoya on February 17 and Fukuoka on February 19. The tickets were completely sold out for the six concerts, gathering a total of 25,000 fans.

Due to the request made by the fans, who couldn’t purchase the tickets, the Tokyo concert hall opened up more seats later on.

The Fukuoka concert that launched on February 19 was broadcast live in theaters throughout Japan through the ‘live viewing’ system. The 6,000 fans who couldn’t’ make it to the stadium enjoyed the concert live through the theater screens.

BTS performed 23 songs during the concert, including Korean songs as well as tracks from the Japanese full length album Wake Up that released in December 2014 and ranked number two on Oricon’s album chart.

During the Nagoya concert on February 17, the fans presented a surprise birthday party for J-Hope, whose birthday is on February 18, touching the hearts of the members.

BTS wrapped up the concert by saying, “We will work hard to continue to present good music and performances. Like you have until now, please continue to watch us with warmth.”

Having wrapped up the Japanese concert, BTS will launch 2015 BTS Live Trilogy: Episode I. BTS Begins on March 28 and 29 in Olympic Park’s Olympic Hall.
