Pink Productions, which introduced the One Direction lad from Wolverhampton to the world of show business, is preparing to hold auditions for a new performance to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Decadance will be staged at the Mill Theatre in Sedgley in June.

Company director Jodie Richards said she was looking forward to seeing all the new talent wishing to take part.

She said: "Liam joined us at the age of 12 and it's amazing where he is now, so hopefully we'll find plenty more talent out there.

"We normally have a cast of anything between 50 and 70 people, so we're looking for a lot of people to join.

"We're looking forward to a really fantastic show."

The show will mark the company's 10th year running and its 20th main production.

It will be a collaboration of popular musicals from the West End and Broadway, including The lion king, Tarzan, Dreamgirls, Legally Blonde and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

The theatre company, which has previously featured on ITV's Britain's Got Talent, has been home to more than 400 performers in its lifetime, including 20-year-old superstar Liam Payne, who comes from Bushbury and whose boy band One Direction is one of the biggest-selling groups of all time.

After the theatre company's past successes, organisers are now looking for fresh new talent to potentially become household names in the future.

Anyone aged between five and 45 years old is eligible to try out for the auditions, which will be held on February 23 at Holy Trinity Church, in Farrington Road, Ettingshall Park Estate, Wolverhampton.

Under-13s will audition between 1pm and 2pm and over-13s will be from 2.30pm to 4pm.

Everyone attending should bring a £2 audition fee and a stamped addressed envelope.
