Busan fixes 2014 festival dates

Organisers of the Busan International Film Festival 부산국제영화제 have confirmed that its 19th edition will run from 2-11 Oct 2014, maintaining its regular opening day on the first Thursday of October each year.
The festival will maintain its ten day length, closing on a Saturday. Until the 2011 edition, the festival was a nine-day event. Since the extension, the festival has secured more than 200,000 admissions at the 2012 and 2013 editions.
The four-day Asian Film Market 아시아필름마켓 will shift one day earlier, to start on a Sunday this year. The ninth edition will run from 5-8 Oct 2014 and include its well-regarded project market and an extensive programme of market screenings.
