Loury Speaks at Philadelphia’s My Brother’s Keeper Summit

Dr. Doreen Loury (left) with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Stephen Tyson ’13M at the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Initiative Summit, hosted at Philadelphia’s Mastery Charter School-Shoemaker Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The summit was organized in response to President Obama’s MBK Community Challenge, a call to action for communities and their mayors to implement strategies that improve the life outcomes of young people. Dr. Loury, assistant professor of African American studies and director of the Act 101 Program at Arcadia, was invited to speak on racial equity and working with males of color.
