The SOM-designed rental and condo tower rising on East 57th Street has long considered itself the harbinger of new luxury east of Third Avenue. In New York City today, that equates to sky-high rents and asks, and cloud-grazing heights. The tower now stands at its full 700-plus feet, according to a press release, "solidifying its place on 57th Street" among its pseudo-contemporaries One57 and 432 Park Avenue. Available residences in the 93-condo building start at $4.25 million and reach up to $19 million, according to StreetEasy. The tower passed the halfway mark in late July, meaning that work's been moving at a rapid clip to bring it up to its full 65 stories.
