My son loves this light saber. It has features many of the others do not: not only does it light up and make cool sounds, but it collapses into the handle and stays that way until you push the extension button. It also has a clip so you can hang it from a belt or pants. We purchased this as an accessory for my son's Luke Skywalker Halloween costume. It was perfect--he used it as a flashlight and when he finished trick-or-treating, he kept it clipped to his belt. It was nice that it stayed put and I didn't have to worry about him tripping over it.

A complete ripoff. Don't waste your money....This was purchased for my son at Disneyland but I could never get it to work. I changed the batteries but still didn't work. It is sitting here in front of me. I have spent 45 minutes to see if I could get it to work but no luck.

Unlike most kids, mine wanted lightsabers after watching the empire strikes back not the force awakens. So my now 2yr old son had this darth vader hoodie we had gotten him just cus it looked cute. So new years we had an original trilogy marathon and the kids were hooked. Of course the kids wanted the lights and sounds ones but being an avid fan who had the original return of the jedi luke lightsaber i knew tht for my now 2yr old 4yr old and 5 yr old was 1.too heavy and 2. The saber doesnt collapse completly into the hilt and my kids r picky. So i opted to get them the new ones tht don't make sounds or light up cus they r sturdy and collapse completely. So sometime later i saw this online and was skeptical as to what it did. I honestly just wanted it cus it was a new unique design i hadn't seen before. Not only dud this thing arrive a whole week early, but it lights up, makes sounds and collapses completely into the hilt. I don't know why my kids didn't have this design but i guess becus its bigger than theirs and a bit heavier. It honestly feels like its built for older kids to adults. Great cosplay item. Im thinking about buying another and taking all the mickey stuff off and customizing it. Perfect gift for a star wars fan or mickey fan. My kids r jealous now and always want to saber battle me. All in all a great purchase. Woulda been 5 stars if it was spring loaded (force action series).
