@Li - I think we crossed that bridge a long time ago. They lied, it's done with. They are calling their work now a re-design, when it's really the first time they are making it work. Who knows what those prototypes were. Most people following this are surprised that they found a VC willing to invest in them.
The new machine will probably ship sometime in 2016, but I'd say in the latter half. Maybe even early 2017 if they can't work out issues that they inevitably run into.
Now.....the new delayed shipment date? 2017?
Backed this project under the impression that the design is already completed...funding is required for it to put into mass production.
Please let us know the new confirmed shipment date.
Even though Indiegogo has a bad rep, I have received all perks from there while here at Kickstarter 3 are loooong overdue. Guess Kickstarter should work on their permission criteria.
Note to those who claim posting a Kickstarter Username as an invasion of privacy. It's not...move on now. You see how my Username shows up? First name only? That's how people concerned with privacy might protect themselves...or use a made up name like "PurpleUnicornsLovePrivacy2015" but using your own real name as a username then whining about being outed? Seriously? If they hadn't listed usernames the Negative Nelly's in this group would call them on that and claim that no refunds were ever given. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
About the project, I guess we'll see. It was a great idea that pulled us into funding 2 units. I'm hopeful, all I can do is hope. What I won't do is rattle on and on promoting negativity. Especially at this time of year. Happy Holidays...try to spread some joy instead of this. K?
The more I watch this the more it is obvious that they are trying to figure out the solution to something that already has been solved. Except they want to do it all their own way. They have no patents or anything yet because they haven't figured out anything new. All the innovation (NFC, customized coffee per beans, etc) is held back by their inability to produce a full automatic. Granted, that's not an easy thing (witness the extremely high prices those machines usually command), but again the initial working prototype was clearly a lie. They're still working out how to make things work, much less modularizing anything. And far from putting all the different modules together. This thing won't be done until 2017 if they're lucky.
@Mike, Thanks for the reply and comment. Other than the diameter, many coffee machine makers are actually spending a lot of their time trying to find the perfect rations of the holes and grooves, how to get the best creama. Then of course this is too advanced for Arist or they might claim that they already have this covered and will give us more details in the 2046 update.
So@ Arist, where are the "supporters" that you claim that exists in this dimension? Not even 1 positive feedback after your latest update? I guess they are either fed up or have waken up.
1)All fully automated machines have tampers.
2) Your design for the tamper is not original.
3) from all the information provided by you so far, including from NOW, it doesn't show how you can put the pieces together.
I think it would make a lot of us feel a lot better if you didn't show us just a component. We all know what a grinder and a tamper does. Show us how the grinder grinds the beans into the basket and how the grinds then get tamped. Seeing a system would build a lot of confidence in your backers. Otherwise the updates don't really tell us much. That's the point of Kickstarter, for us to experience it with you and see it come together.
I too am checking in to see if you posted your update. As Ronald pointed out, on your updated schedule you were due to have an update out today re: the tamping system.
@Marvin - LOL no wonder they have no proposed to switch back. In fact I'm suspecting at one point they probably took the internals and created a similar shell for it for demo purposes.
Yes Bill, I was temp-banned because my "post was flagged for containing abusive content."
When I asked specifically what I had posted they referred to the post with the police information. I again responded to Kickstarter asking specifically what about it was abusive or spam like and they did not give me any response.
@Scott, if it makes you feel better, at least one backer was able to see your latest comment before the deletion and will hopefully get a finalization soon. Thanks man, I appreciate it :)
Byron "Mythaholic"
thank you for your comment. today i just sent email again to HK court and HK police and info@kickstarter about new information from William Wong. A comprehensive coverage by SCMP, a Hong Kong newspaper.
@kantapat lol! Keep dreaming buddy! They offered a refund window already and that was only a partial refund. Getting money out of them now would be harder than getting blood from a stone

Super invasion of privacy to public ally announce everyone who requested a refund. Esp those who never said anything on the message board.
Continued to be amazed.

@William. I'm not a negative supporter, I just don't feel the need to say anything. Consider this post to be an answer, if you like.
1 - yes, all automated machines would have tampers. It's hard to see how a espresso machine could work without some tamping going on.
If there's going to be a response, I'm curios about the diameter of the filter basket. (compared to a commercial semi-auto size of 58mm)
