There seems to be a lot of confusion and concern on /pol/ regarding the failure of Infinity Next, but this was the intended outcome. Josh never meant for Infinity Next to succeed. Josh never had the best interests of 8chan or of Hotwheels in mind. You see…
Josh is a goon
Before reading any further. Please refer to the upper left of the image attached to the OP. It is a post made by josh on the site freech.net. A well known goon hangout made up of /intl/ leftovers. I have amassed an archive of threads, and here is just one example: https://archive.is/ygZkl.
I have dozens more. I've spent the last 6 months working in coordination with a group of 5 other /cow/ users to take down the SA goon squads on 8chan but we've kept getting foiled. Nobody knew why, until we finally realised that someone at the very top was working with them: Josh.
Don't believe me? Please refer to the bottom left image, exhibit two. This is an email between Josh and "oyyboy" (the Owner of Freech) discussing Infinity Next's development - you don't need to be stupid to know what "bomb" means in coder parlance. By the way, many of the main "players" in its "development" were in fact /intl/ users. I know for certain that a user named "Yozoraposter", a Brazilian ("NBO"), and oyyboy all can be tied to freech or /intl/ and I suspect there were more. The entire /next/ board was full of shills.
Needless to say we've been trying to convince Hotwheels of this. We finally gathered enough evidence, and coupled with the blatant failure of Infinity Next, it led to Hotwheels finally confronting josh. Exhibit 3, in the top left, is an image from their conversation. As you can see, upon being told he is fired for incompetence Josh lashes out at Hotwheels. He shows his true colors.
The final exhibit is perhaps the most damning, even if it seems innocuous. It is from a series of group skype chats I had with Josh and a few other goons. They thought I was one of them, and I got invited into their little "collective". I have recorded a few of these discussions, and intend to keep them private because I have no personal interest in ruining Josh's life. It is already sad enough. So I only have one thing to say to Josh…

If you don't know what big O notation is, you're probably also unfamiliar with the fundamentals of why it exists and is important in the first place. From what I understand there was no testing. It was pushed to "staging" and pegged out resources on the test machines.

If you are a coder writing code, then how fast a function you write works on a set of data matters. Your 'O'peration takes so much time to work on 'n' objects.
So if you are, say, writing a function to process posts on 8chan, and it processes them at O(log(n)) then the speed is logarithmic. So it processes 2 posts in 8 second and that's shit. But then it also processes 24 posts in 9 seconds, and 256 posts in 10 seconds and umpteen million posts in 12 seconds. That's the fucking jackpot right there… you've written a function that is good for any fast-moving board.
Up from that, you have linear time. O(n). So say one post takes one second, two posts take two seconds, etc. Average.
Then you have O(n^2), or maybe better written "O of n-squared". So for a few objects, it's fast. But the more objects you add, the more it slows down. So, say, 2 posts take 0.1 second, and 5 posts take 0.3 seconds. But 24 posts take 2 minutes and 48 posts take 3 hours and 96 posts take until the heat-death of the universe. That's an innefficient algorithm for all but the slowest moving board.
It's not so important exactly what the times are. Just that, in how the functions are written, in how well they scale between small and big numbers.
