Actually the rumor mill has it that the show has already been picked up. The campaign was just to fund the production of the pilot episode. Which has apparently already been filmed. The sting has already taken place. It took place in the late summer early fall period. It was reported, and online sleuths have already sussed out the people that were caught, and even the house where it was filmed. The silence is probably corporate in nature. In other words they need to wait until the company that picked up the show announces. The upside is we will probably get even better production values, and even if nothing comes of it there are twenty predators that were caught, and carted off to jail.
Anyway I think we are going to have to wait a bit longer. Until the network that picked the show up announces. The upside is that means there could be a lot of episodes coming. Which is what we all want anyway.

I suspect internal issues/conflicts or lack of good material to show for as reasons for the lack of communication. They might have purposefully chosen to go completely mum during the investigation so as not to tip their hands to potential online predators. Who knows!

Basically a little secrecy, and a lot of patience is going to maximize the return on our investment. The more they catch, the more we get to see, and the more good will be done. Especially since the predators that take their time about it are the ones who have done the most damage. They are typically serial offenders, and their go slow mentality thwarts police investigations that can only be run over the course of a couple weeks. These are the kind of people that can actually end up molesting dozens of children, and never get caught doing so. A lot of the time they are actual serial killers, or fully intend to violently rape the child.
Yes these shows are fun to watch, but they are also educational, and they act as a deterrent. It is the headline of thirty, forty, or fifty of them getting caught. That scares some of them into not going through with their plans. Near the end of the shows run the predators were truly scared. A lot of them would go to the house, and just drive away, or would brow beat themselves once he walked in and asked them to have a seat, because they knew exactly who he was.
While the show was running. You could go into a chat room, and say something like to catch a predator was in the chat room, because some sick family member just got arrested for picking up a under aged kid in that chat room, and watch as a dozen or more names would immediately leave. It was truly the gift that kept giving.
Why is everyone getting so cranky about the funding rewards? They already said multiple times that the gifts would be going out in December. Chill people.
We should also consider the issue of adults who are of age but "look underage." Australia has laws against this. This could mean that at least one censor is a pedophile, but as information spreads, they are likely ALL pedophiles by now (Ken Park was made in 2002).
Full disclosure: Yes, I have watched Ken Park...a grand total of ONE time. I just wanted to see what the big deal was.
Besides, the average Asian adult looks considerably younger than the average Caucasian adult.

I've seen all the old investigations a hundred times over and the glory days of watching idiots like Rabbi David Kaye and Lorne Lynn Armstrong is fading. I need new meat!
