The Law Programme

The Law Programme (juris kandidat-/juristexamen) of four and a half years leading to the Swedish Master of Laws Degree (Juristexamen, LL.M.) is the standard law programme in Sweden. The Law Programme is entirely taught in Swedish. The degree is required for professions such as that of a judge, attorney at law and prosecutor.

Bachelor of Legal Science

The Bachelor in Law comprises three years of studies. The Bachelor in Law is entirely taught in Swedish.

Masters of Law

The one year Master Programmes of Law are open to foreign visiting students with a LL.M diploma in law and also to graduates with a Swedish juris kandidat-/juristexamen.

Doctor of Laws Degree

Doctoral studies in law consist of four years of full-time studies, leading to a Doctor of Laws Degree (LL.D) (or two years of full-time studies, leading to a Licentiate Degree).
