NOLITC awards partners and achievers for 2014

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo G. MaraƱon, Jr. together with Fifth District Board Member Alain Gatuslao, La Carlota City Mayor Juliet Ferrer and Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido led the giving of awards and recognitions to trainers, achievers, LGU and BPO partners of Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) during their Year-end Summit, recently.

The said awards were given to participating local government units and BPO companies who topped the most number of trainees recruited and got the highest percentage of employment.

Outstanding NOLITC alumni and trainers who excelled in their field were also given due recognition.

Panasiatic Call Center, Inc. was cited Best Employer of the Year.

Fifth District Board Member Alain Gatuslao received the award for the Best District in Negros Occidental.

The cities of Bacolod, Kabankalan, La Carlota, Talisay and the Municipality of Hinigaran were given the Best LGU Partner of the Year.

Brgy. Achiever awardees are the following: Brgy. Captain Joan Enarsao of Brgy. Bocana, Ilog; Brgy. Captain Benigno Geguillana Sr. of Brgy. Dancalan, Ilog; Brgy. Captain Emilie Trimucha of Brgy. Tabu, Ilog; Brgy Captain Minda Judilla of Brgy Pilar, Hinigaran; and Councilor Annabelle Q. Bermudo who received the award for Brgy. 3, La Carlota City.

NOLITC Achievers of the Year include Anthony Espleguera from Transcom, Justine Lois Eliserio from Merchant, Lene May Abao from Panasiatic, Vandolf Villosis from Telesynergy, Jose Jornel Bartolano, Jose Keneth Delfin and Janse Richaela Padilla all from Panasiatic, and Jenny Remiendo from Next Level IT Services.

NOLITC Trainer Rogelio Emperado and Chorelie Tupas were cited as Best Trainer of the Year.

The program was highlighted during the giving of testimonies by NOLITC Alumni Irene Flores, Luis Las PiƱas and Lea Delgado who all expressed their sincerest gratitude to Gov. MaraƱon and NOLITC for helping them land a job in some of the prestigious call centers in the city.

Flores who is now employed in Transcom, proudly shared her roots as part of the IP tribe in Sitio Marikudo, Brgy. Camang-camang, Isabela and how her training in NOLITC helped her land a job in the said call center company.

Governor MaraƱon was touched by Floresā€™ humble story and commended her for her dedication and perseverance in reaching her dreams.

The governor also shared to the students the importance of education and proper training as the greatest equalizer and that NOLITC is the best venue to help them achieve their dreams and help their families.* /Capitol News
