In recent years ANTONOV has been increasingly engaged in developing passenger planes. ANTONOV seeks to occupy the niche of regional passenger planes, relying on its almost 50−year experience, unique know-how, and strong ties with aircraft operators.

ANTONOV seeks to embrace the entire segment, offering the complete range of regional passenger planes – from the 27−seat turboprop Antonov−38−100 to the 99−seat jet Antonov−158. Each type meets the modern airworthiness requirements and ICAO standards.

Unlike other aircraft builders, ANTONOV is particularly well orientated for the markets of countries with broadly diverse climatic and geographic conditions, low−quality runways, insufficient ground equipment, and low tariffs. Even in such conditions – both in polar areas and tropics – the ANTONOV planes always prove to be safe and economical. The 80−seat Antonov−148−100 has proven airworthy in the temperature range from −55°C to +45°C. The 52−seat turboprop plane Antonov−140, flying local lines in East Siberia, normally lands on unpaved, ice, and shingle runways and still is as comfortable as modern main−line planes.
