Massive Attack recruited Oscar-nominated actress Rosamund Pike to star in their haunting video for "Voodoo in My Blood"

Massive Attack have unveiled "Voodoo in My Blood," the latest video from the trip-hop progenitors' recent Ritual Spirit EP.

The Ringan Ledwidge-directed video itself merges the menacing ball from Phantasm and the maniacal subway scene from Andrzej Zulawski's Possession: In "Voodoo in My Blood," recorded with Scottish rap-pop group Young Fathers, Gone Girl actress Rosamind Pike cautiously walks down toward London's Joe Strummer Subway until she's confronted by a floating orb that sticks a needle in her eye. After scanning her retina, the orb takes control of Pike's character, forcing her to smash her head into the wall and convulse with the music.

"Am I involved? ... Someone said the girl in the video looks like me. I have been to the Joe Strummer subway. I did have a strange encounter there once," Pike said in a statement. Pike is the second Oscar-nominated star to appear in a Ritual Spirit video: Winter's Bone's John Hawkes previously appeared in the video for the Tricky-featuring "Take It There."

Massive Attack are currently touring Europe, with Young Fathers serving as opening act.
