St Peters RC High School

Project: St Peters RC High School
Capital Value: £2.8m
Client: Manchester City Council
Procurement: Framework 109
Contractor: F Parkinsons Ltd
Architect: Ellis Williams Architects

Description

St Peters High School presented a complex challenge as the school is located on a very tight site. The project comprised the remodeling of the existing 3 storey block and the addition of 8 new classrooms. The school remained in full operation throughout and the work had to be completed in 48 weeks.

The remodeling was carefully planned to minimize the impact on the school operation. The new classrooms used modern methods of construction combined with a packaged plant room resulting in 50% improvement in CO2 emissions and an EPC rating A:21 which is an excellent rating.
