This agency is located within the Office of Family Court Commissioner. We provide a variety of programs for parents who are divorcing, are already divorced or who were never married and their cases are established in Fond du Lac County. We offer a divorce education program, “Living Apart, Parenting Together” for all couples with children who are divorcing. Our mediation program is available for parents who have a custody and / or placement dispute regarding their children. We work with parents to help them resolve these issues without court intervention. Family Court Services also conducts Custody Evaluations, provides case management for court-ordered Supervised Placement and court-ordered Psychological Evaluations. We also work cooperatively with the Family Resource Center to provide a children’s divorce program, “Children in the Middle”.

Mission Statement:
The Family Court programs of Fond du Lac County will strive to provide a neutral and empathic environment that empowers parents to make parenting choices for their children. Our programs will promote parenting plans that enhance a child’s relationship with both parents, and will offer guidance as parents renegotiate their roles within the new family structure. Our goals will be to reduce parental conflict, to increase family stability and to enhance each family’s support network by making referrals to outside agencies. The Family Court programs will be provided to each family in a timely manner, with great emphasis placed upon each family’s unique needs.
