Confined to sandy shores, where it is quite frequent.

Flower diameter c 1.2 cm

ID: Leaves fleshy, much longer than broad, with rounded forward-pointing lobes.  Flowers mauve or sometimes almost white, in typical crucifer arrangement with flower-spike lengthening in fruit.

Other features: Annual.  Pods divided into two cells, the upper larger, with a seed in each.  The upper breaks off whole, but the lower remains on the plant till the seed is shed.  The seeds are dispersed by sea-water.
