Every year popular TV variety show Infinity Challenge pairs its cast members with different musical acts, and together each duo had to come up with a song and performance for a music festival. This year’s star-studded pairings brought together the likes of Hyung-don with Big Bang’s G-Dragon, Yoo Jae-suk with noted singer-songwriter Yoo Hee-yeol, and Leessang’s Gil with BoA.
The best and most-surprising song to come out of the pairings, though, is from Jeong Jun-ha and Kim C. Their track Will Be Gone is much slower and more melancholy than the high-energy crowd pleasers the other pairings deliver, but is nonetheless contemplative and meaningful. Kim C, of band Hot Potato, experiments with ambient sounds, interjecting the slow and punctuated rhythm with singing from both him and Jeong, who at one time used to be a musical stage actor. It also features rapping from Beenzino and vocal harmonizing from Lee Sora.
