<Location> Agora, Athens, Greece

This altar is situated north west to the Heroon. Made of white marble, and the base is ca. 9 m. deep, and ca. 5.5 m. width. Constructed between the fifth to the fourth century.

It was originally placed somewhere else, and brought here in the Augustan period. The original site might be the Pnyx, as there is a cutting of the same size.

It is supposed to be dedicated to Zeus of the Agora (Zeus Agoraios).
