Mr. Sullivan, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, is a founder of the Outback Steakhouse restaurant company. Along with his partners, Bob Basham, Tim Gannon and Trudy Cooper, the first Outback Steakhouse was opened in March 1988. From 1991 to 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer of the company after serving as President since 1988.

Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, there are now over 900 Outback Steakhouses worldwide. Outback also operates over 300 Carrabba's Italian Grills, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Roy's, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Bonefish Grill, Paul Lee's Chinese Kitchen and several other hospitality-related businesses. Sullivan's restaurant management career began in 1972 as restaurant manager trainee in the Steak & Ale restaurant group.

Mr. Sullivan serves numerous organizations in various positions including Florida Council of 100 Executive Committee, the Florida Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors for the Florida Council on Economic Education, Lowry Park Zoological Endowment Foundation; Chairman's Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America; Co-Chair, Board of Directors Kentucky Speedway; the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army; and Vice Chairman for Scripps Florida Funding Board; and the Employment Policies Institute.

Chris has a passion for golf and along with Bob Basham and Bob Merritt, a new golfer's club was created in 1997, Old Memorial Golf Club.

Chris lives in Tampa, Florida and has two children, Alex and Ashley.
