Review

Here is the debut full length album with the hyped Orange County-based band NEW YEARS DAY. The band fronted by Ashley who is a hybrid of a young Debbie Harry, Maja from The Sounds, Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani. She sits on a nice and for the sound a perfect voice, and the production signed by Adam Lorbach is perfect for the American radio format for this type of light chewing-gum punk pop. There is nothing to complain about. It’s very well done, the songs are there and it will probably work out for them. But for me that’s the reason why it is also so boring.

Kaj
Not in the Emo mood Mr.Pär? I think this is a rather good album with lots of infectious hooks. Perhaps not the most edgy album around but not every single album has to be massive and huge.
