Former national keeper Zdravko Zdravkov plans to bring the curtain down on his career at the end of the season.
Zdravkov, currently a goalkeeper at Turkey's Rizespor, cited lack of motivation and health problems as the reason for quitting football.
"What I want is peace and quietness," Zdravkov told Darik Radio, adding his future will definitely be connected with Bulgaria.
Zdravkov said he even turned down an invitation to coach one of Bulgaria's football teams.
"It has never been my ambition," he said.
Zdravkov was Bulgaria's keeper at the 1998 World Cup finals in France and at the 2004 European championship finals in Portugal. He quit the national team in March 2005 after coach Hristo Stoitchkov made him a substitute for rather poor-performing Dimitar Ivankov.
