Robert “Bob” Balow, long-time resident of Racine, WI, founder of four companies, Lt. Governor for the southeastern district of the Optimist Club, and holder of numerous patents, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 24th. He was 69 years old.

Julia “Julie” M. Lokken, 92, of Eau Claire, passed away at Our House Senior Living, Eau Claire, on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 surrounded by her family. Julie Miranda Holmen was born July 3, 1923 to Janette (Haugen) and Rudolph Holmen on the family farm in rural Osseo, WI. She was baptized and confirmed in King’s Valley Lutheran Church. She married Aldon V. Lokken there on December 28, 1944.

Robert G. Sisco Sr., 91 years young, died February 18, 2016, of natural causes. His long full life began in Napoleon, North Dakota, as the oldest child of Luella (Nelson) and Monroe Sisco. At 19, Bob left the farm to serve his country in an illustrious 24-year career in the US Army and Air Force. In the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign he participated in four major battles. During the Cold War, Bob led a team into tribals lands of Pakistan to set up a forward listening station. He finished his military career in 1967 and moved back to his beloved Wisconsin where he purchased a small farm south of Eau Claire.
Patricia Ann Caron 87, resident in the care of Good Samaritan Society of Simla, Colorado, formerly of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, died Wednesday January 27, 2016.
Nancy Jo Schultz of Eau Claire and, later in life, Chetek, was surrounded by family as she peacefully left this world to join her husband Gerry in greener pastures on February 19, 2016. Nancy was born on July 12, 1936, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Chester and Erika Stotesbury. Nancy married her high school sweetheart Gerald Schultz on April 23, 1954. Nancy was a talented homemaker and after Gerry's retirement from banking in 1977 they together launched Nancy's Ceramics and the Eau Claire area's first Pumpkin Patch. They operated those businesses for nearly 20 years in Eau Claire before relocating to Chetek where they bought their dream hobby farm and continued operating their businesses until Gerry's passing in 2007.
