Lasting a half-day, they are a quick, simple, effective way of ensuring that anyone using a ladder understands work at height, and the LadderCard received on completing the course is an excellent way to demonstrate the competence required by law.

This is our main course for anyone who regularly uses ladders or stepladders as part of their daily work. It consists of practical and theory assessments over at least four hours, and covers when and how to use, handle and store a ladder, understanding the law, and potential hazards.
Ladder & Stepladder Inspection course
The inspection course is aimed at anyone who may be responsible for inspecting and maintaining ladders or stepladders. It is as comprehensive as the Ladder & Stepladder course, covering practical guidance of what to do as well as the law.
Working with Steps & Step Stools course
This shorter course, taking a minimum of two and a half hours, is aimed at more occasional ladder users – those working in shops, offices, schools, hospitals and other sectors where a ladder may have to be used infrequently. It summarises what they need to know about safe use, standards, hazards and the law.
