Striker Billy Sharp arrived at Elland Road from Southampton during the summer 2014 transfer window.
The 28-year-old signed a two-year contract with the club and has signed for an undisclosed fee.
The Sheffield born forward spent his youth career at Sheffield United and Rotherham but with first team appearances limited he made the move to Scunthorpe United.
Following an impressive goalscoring rate at Scunthorpe the striker made the move back to Sheffield United, where he remained until he moved to Doncaster Rovers in 2009, initially on loan.
In 2012 Sharp left Doncaster and moved to the South Coast to join Southampton for a fee reported as over one million pounds. During his time at Southampton the striker has made loan moves to Championship clubs including Nottingham Forest, Reading and Doncaster Rovers.
Sharp was handed the number eight shirt and made a dream start to life at United, scoring a late winner on his debut in August 2014's 1-0 home victory over Middlesbrough.
